The Standard Residential Tenancy Agreement

The standard residential tenancy agreement, or lease agreement, is the legal agreement all of our approved applicants enter into when they become tenants with Winnipeg Housing. The lease agreement outlines all of the terms and conditions of the tenancy in addition to specifically identifying the following:

• The tenant(s) authorized to reside in the rental unit,
• The term or duration of the lease,
• The required security deposit amount and,
• The total amount due on the 1st of each month for rent and amenities.

The lease, in addition to outlining the above noted items, also references Winnipeg Housing’s Policy Rules and Regulations. As a tenant with Winnipeg Housing, and for the safety and consideration of your fellow tenants, you are required to adhere to, and follow the rules and regulations as they are set out.
